Losing It...

Then again, perhaps I've never had it. It's illogical to miss something that you may or may not have had to begin with, yes? And I'm all about being logical. No, I'm not joking. Logic is important. Especially, the nuttier things (or I) seem to be. Besides all that, having "it" is probably overrated anyway.

I really do have to get on board with the whole focus thing, though. I will...eventually. In the meantime, I've decided that what my world needs is more doodles of snails. I came to this conclusion after a lengthy internal debate (not really. it took me an hour tops). You have to admit (or not) that there is a serious lack of snail exposure. As such, I'm doing my part. And she may look like she's not going anywhere, but she is. At her own pace. Which is after all the only pace that she can go.

  1. I think you're onto something here! Your snail diva is an awesome representation of a woman taking her time. We need to learn to breathe more, make more time for self-reflection and contemplation, and, Oh!... LOVE her carry on baggage she has in tow!! I like imagining all of the good stuff she must have collected in there over time! *wink*

  2. By the by, I'm not sure with blogger comments format having changed, how we'll receive comment replies in our inbox anymore. They took out that little box "Email me follow up comments" and there is no "Subscribe" button available in this format, I think?

I ended up going in to my dashboard settings and changing my comments to "Embedded". There at least, there is the option for my followers to "Subscribe to comments".

You have any thoughts on the new format? I'll check back to see if you reply! *WINK*

  3. Hellooo Scarlett! Yes, I think Ms. Snail has it all figured out. Maybe she'll pass it on! My thoughts on the blogger comments format changed? !@#!#Q!##!!@!%%$@!! Why-oh-why are we always changing things that work?? I'll check out my dashboard settings and see what I can do. Thanks, Scarlett!

    1. Yay! It worked!

I also have the "Subscribe" and "Comments" button on my blog's sidebar. But they have to be read through Google or Live Feed readers. I find it SO much easier to just be able to subscribe to individual posts... and have it conveniently delivered to my inbox. Damn Blogger f*ckin' around with things! It's always something. *insert smiley*

    2. Agreed, it IS always something! Somehow my "subscribe" and "follow by email" buttons got shoved down to the bottom of this blog. How I did that, I've no idea. I've moved them up now. Thanks for mentioning, Scarlett! x

  7. Heh. Excellent snail.

I understand what you're saying about the illogical nature of missing something you've not had, but the idea of feeling something's missing, but you're not sure what it is, that makes sense. That reminds me of what we were talking about concerning creating your own meaning. Hope you're well, IK...have a great weekend.

    1. Thanks, RA! Yes, I really like the whole "creating your own meaning." Honestly, we are feed so much crap every day, currently and in our past. "Do this to be happy," "have this and be happy," blah blah. And even though you know it's BS, it niggles back there in the subconscious and leads to feeling like something is missing or we're less somehow. Sometimes, I wish I could just delete all the BS as easily as when I hit the "delete" button on a keyboard. Hah! You have a great weekend, too, RA!

  11. I think we all suffer from not being able to focus. Life is just too chaotic and stressful. Don't worry, you're not alone. And I too love your snail drawing my talented friend.
