It's a bit Island-of-Dr.-Moreau-ish in my head...

Should I even admit that in a public forum? Or for that matter, in a private forum?? Ah well, too late now.

Doodling snails wasn't enough. I had to dress the snails in evening gowns, tuxes, and tiaras. Now, I've decided to morph snails and fairies together. Why? I. Have. No. Clue. The scary thing? Nothing seems to be stopping me from continuing down (up?) this curious path.

Still...I'm having fun. Hope you are, too. You deserve it.

  1. Slugs with wings! If they weren't so darn cute, it would be frightening! Perhaps it's a metaphor? Like say, you're wanting sprout wings, but you're feeling *sluggish*?

I like it when expected ugliness is all duded up! It means you're not predictable, but flexible. Even if it is just in spirit.

    Been thinking about you, IK!
MISS YOU! (Like I've been out and about! I've been running so much lately, I hardly have time to write! I did, however, get some yard work done this weekend. Good times. And, I finally squeezed out a post today! Yay, Me!)

    1. I'm big on metaphors, and as they go, that's a pretty darn good one. Under the circumstances, very appropriate. And as long the duds work, I say why not!

I've missed you too, Scarlett. Hope your running around has been fun and productive. Yay you, indeed! Loved your post. xo

  3. Love the outfit, too cute! My two boys are obsessed with snails, slugs and pretty much anything slimy. They love to help me garden to see what bugs they can discover :)

    1. I'll be honest, slimy, creepy crawlies are not normally my thing, but on paper they sure are fun. Thanks, Frugal! :)

  4. Okay, as soon as I read the post title I thought of Marlon Brando in a mumu, so thank you for the wonderful picture that took that image out of my mind. Hope you're well:)

    1. LOL! I'm afraid that I'd forgotten the Marlon Brando version. Now I have that image in my head. Yikes!

I'm not too bad. Thanks for asking, RA :)

  5. I love it!! I have to agree with Wendy ...totally psychedelic and its awesome!! I feel like its something I would see in the background of a star wars movie...jar jar binks' great aunt Gertrude (I hear the screaming from the star wars fans who hate episode 1....sorry)
Keep dressing those slugs up! ;)

  7. You have the most awesome doodles. Maybe you can help me "girlify" my frog on my blog. I wish I could find a way to add a bow and some lipstick since it's a female's blog. Love this and glad to see you're having fun again and in less pain.
